NurtureCrest policies

Clear terms for clearer choices.

These policies explain how NurtureCrest publishes category guidance, uses affiliate retailer links and handles the limited device-level information used by the current site.

Privacy notice updated 17 September 2026.

Affiliate disclosure

NurtureCrest may earn a commission if you click an affiliate retailer link and make a qualifying purchase. This does not increase the price you pay. We place this wording next to retailer actions and in the site footer so it is visible before you leave NurtureCrest.

We do not accept payment in exchange for a positive assessment. A retailer relationship and editorial content are reviewed separately. Retailer buttons such as “Check price at [retailer]” lead to an external merchant. Questions about our retailer relationships can be sent to info@nurturecrest.com.

Editorial policy

NurtureCrest guides and product profiles are written by Bohlokoa Moloi and reviewed by ’Malika Sefatsana, a registered nurse. Each page names its author and reviewer, and shows a last-reviewed date once one is recorded. AI tools are used to help validate the research behind our guides against their sources; the guides are written and reviewed by the people named on each page. Meet the editorial team.

We publish educational category guides to help visitors compare labels. Each guide should identify what to compare, the relevant retailer, and its review date. Retailer payments, commission rates and availability do not decide our category coverage or wording.

Evidence and updates

Before a product-level recommendation is published, NurtureCrest must record the source, label evidence, retailer link, editorial review date and any commercial relationship. Corrections should be made promptly when a material factual error is confirmed.

For editorial questions, feedback or corrections, email editor@nurturecrest.com. Please include the relevant page link when reporting an error.

Health information

NurtureCrest content is educational and is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment. Supplements are not a substitute for a varied diet, sleep, movement or medical care. Visitors who are pregnant, nursing, have a health condition, or use medicines should speak with a qualified clinician or pharmacist before choosing a supplement.

We do not promise results or use unsubstantiated disease-treatment claims. Product labels, directions, warnings and suitability can change; check the retailer listing and the physical label before purchase or use.

Label claims and South African registration

When a product profile shows wording from a label, it is marked as the manufacturer’s claim and linked to its source. We do not repeat claims that a product diagnoses, treats, cures or prevents a disease; that wording is withheld from the profile.

Where a complementary medicine or health supplement is not registered with the South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA), its profile shows the statement: “This unregistered medicine has not been evaluated by the SAHPRA for its quality, safety or intended use.”

Privacy notice

Last updated: 17 September 2026. This notice explains how NurtureCrest handles personal information under the Protection of Personal Information Act 4 of 2013 (POPIA). It applies to visitors in South Africa and elsewhere.

Responsible party and contact

NurtureCrest (Pty) Ltd (enterprise number 2026/748557/07) is the responsible party for personal information processed through this website.

Information Officer: Bohlokoa Moloi, Editor. For privacy questions and requests, email privacy@nurturecrest.com.

The website was designed and built by PatternShift (Pty) Ltd, which does not decide how visitor information is used.

What we process

  • Choices stored on your device. Your consent receipt, the supplement families you save with the heart button, and your delivery country are kept in your browser’s local storage and are not sent to NurtureCrest. Saved families are stored because you ask us to save them; select the heart again to remove one. Your delivery country is remembered only if you allow functional preferences.
  • Your delivery country guess. Product pages estimate your country from your browser’s time zone and language, without looking up your location, so retailer buttons point to stores that deliver to you.
  • Emails you send us. If you write to info@, editor@ or privacy@nurturecrest.com, we receive your email address, name if given, and your message.
  • Affiliate link activity. When you select a retailer button, see “Affiliate links and tracking” below.

NurtureCrest does not require accounts, run analytics or advertising cookies, or collect newsletter subscriptions.

Affiliate links and tracking

Retailer buttons such as “Check price at [retailer]” may be affiliate links. When you select one, your browser goes to the retailer, sometimes passing briefly through an affiliate network. The network and the retailer may record the click and set cookies or similar technologies on their own websites so they can tell that your visit came from NurtureCrest and whether it led to a purchase. They are responsible parties for that processing under their own privacy notices.

From those networks and retailers, NurtureCrest receives commission reports: for example the date, retailer, product or order value and the commission earned. We do not receive your name, contact details or payment details from them.

Some affiliate networks also offer scripts that set cookies on NurtureCrest itself. We load such a script only if you allow affiliate measurement in your privacy choices, and never while your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal. No such script is active on the site today.

Affiliate networks and retailers we work with

Before any affiliate link is published, we add the network or retailer here with its location and a link to its privacy notice.

Network or retailerWhere it processes dataPrivacy notice
No affiliate programme is active yet.

Why we process information and our lawful basis

  • Your consent: functional preferences and any affiliate measurement script on this site. You can withdraw consent at any time in Privacy Choices.
  • Legitimate interests: reconciling affiliate commissions, keeping the site secure and working, and replying to emails you send us.
  • Legal obligations: keeping commission and payment records for tax purposes, and responding to privacy requests.

Recipients and transfers outside South Africa

Affiliate networks, retailers and our email and hosting providers may process information outside South Africa, including in the United States, the United Kingdom and the European Union. We share information across borders only where POPIA allows it: for example where the recipient is bound by law, binding corporate rules or an agreement that gives protection substantially similar to POPIA, or where the transfer is necessary to provide the service you asked for, such as following a retailer link. NurtureCrest does not sell personal information.

How long we keep information

  • Choices on your device stay until you change them, delete the device record in Privacy Choices, or clear site data in your browser.
  • Commission reports are kept for five years, as South African tax law requires for business records.
  • Emails are kept only as long as needed to deal with your message and keep a record of any request.

Direct marketing

NurtureCrest does not send marketing emails. Before starting a newsletter or any other direct marketing, we will update this notice and ask for your consent, with a way to opt out in every message.

Security and updates

NurtureCrest applies reasonable technical and organisational safeguards appropriate to the information it processes. We will update this notice, and its date, before any material change to what we collect, who receives it, where it is transferred or how long it is kept.

Your privacy rights

Under POPIA you may ask to access the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, object to certain processing, and object to direct marketing. Visitors outside South Africa may have similar rights under their own laws, and we apply the same process to every request.

How to make a request

Email privacy@nurturecrest.com. Requests are handled by our Information Officer, Bohlokoa Moloi, Editor. We may ask you to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Opting out of tracking

  • Turn off affiliate measurement and functional preferences in Privacy Choices, or delete the device record there.
  • Turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser; NurtureCrest treats it as a refusal of affiliate measurement.
  • Block or clear cookies in your browser, or contact the retailer or network directly, to stop tracking on their websites.

NurtureCrest does not sell personal information, and does not share it for targeted advertising.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with the Information Regulator (South Africa) at POPIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za, or with the data protection authority where you live.

Access to information (PAIA)

The Promotion of Access to Information Act 2 of 2000 (PAIA) gives you the right to request access to records that NurtureCrest (Pty) Ltd holds, where you need them to exercise or protect a right.

Information Officer. Bohlokoa Moloi, Editor, NurtureCrest (Pty) Ltd. Email privacy@nurturecrest.com.

How to make a request. Send a written request to the Information Officer at privacy@nurturecrest.com, describing the record you want in enough detail for us to find it, the right you are seeking to exercise or protect, and how you would like to receive the record. Include an address or email we can reply to, and a telephone number if you have one. We will respond within the period the Act allows and tell you if a fee applies before we act on the request.

Our PAIA manual is available on request from the Information Officer at that address. The Information Regulator (South Africa) publishes a guide on how to use the Act, and you may lodge a PAIA complaint with the Regulator at PAIAComplaints@inforegulator.org.za.

A request about your own personal information — to see it, correct it or have it deleted — is usually simpler to make under POPIA: see your privacy rights above.

How we promote retailers

NurtureCrest promotes retailers in two ways:

  • On www.nurturecrest.com, through retailer buttons on product profiles and guides, with an affiliate disclosure on every page that has one.
  • On our social media accounts, through posts that share our guides and profiles. Posts with an affiliate link or a product we can earn commission on start with a clear disclosure such as “#ad” or “Affiliate link”.

We do not use paid search or paid social advertising, coupons or cashback, email marketing with affiliate links, browser extensions or pop-ups. We will update this page before that changes.

Retailer boundary

NurtureCrest is an affiliate publisher, not the seller of record. Retailers control prices, stock, delivery, returns, payment, taxes, product suitability and customer support. We do not display internal baskets, invented prices, stock messages, coupon claims, rewards, delivery promises or customer reviews unless verified from the retailer and dated.

Terms of use

Last updated: 17 September 2026. These terms apply to your use of www.nurturecrest.com. By using the website you accept them. If you do not accept them, please do not use the website.

Who we are

This website is operated by NurtureCrest (Pty) Ltd, a private company registered in South Africa with enterprise number 2026/748557/07. Questions about these terms can be sent to info@nurturecrest.com.

Educational information, not medical advice

NurtureCrest publishes general, educational information about healthy living, vitamins, minerals and supplements. It is not medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it does not create a professional relationship between you and NurtureCrest, its author or its reviewer. Speak with a qualified clinician or pharmacist before starting a supplement, especially if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a health condition or take medicines. Read our health information policy.

Accuracy and changes

We work to keep content accurate and to correct errors promptly, but information, product labels, prices and availability change. We do not guarantee that content is complete, current or suitable for your circumstances. Always check the product label and the retailer’s listing before you buy or use a product. We may update, move or remove content, retailer links and these terms at any time; the date above shows the latest version.

Retailers, affiliate links and other websites

NurtureCrest does not sell products. Retailer buttons take you to independent websites, some through affiliate links that may earn us a commission. Retailers are responsible for their products, prices, delivery, returns, payment and customer service, and your purchase is governed by the retailer’s own terms. We are not responsible for the content, availability or practices of other websites. Read our affiliate disclosure and retailer boundary.

Intellectual property

The content, design, text, graphics and images on this website belong to NurtureCrest or are used under licence. You may view, print or share links to our pages for your personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, republish, sell, adapt or use our content in advertising, in other products or as training data for automated systems without our written permission. Product names, brands and trademarks belong to their respective owners, and their mention does not imply endorsement.

Acceptable use

You agree not to use the website unlawfully; interfere with its security or operation; collect content or data from it in bulk by automated means; or use it to mislead others, including by presenting our content as medical advice or as advertising for a retailer.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, NurtureCrest is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or reliance on, the website or its content, or from products bought from retailers you reach through it. This does not limit any liability that cannot be limited under South African law, including liability for gross negligence or under the Consumer Protection Act 68 of 2008, and it does not affect your rights as a consumer.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Disputes are subject to the jurisdiction of the South African courts, without affecting any mandatory rights you have as a consumer in your own country.

General

If any part of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. Our not enforcing a term straight away does not waive our right to enforce it later.

Accessibility

We aim to keep core information, navigation, retailer disclosures and comparison controls usable with keyboard navigation, clear labels and responsive layouts. If a visitor cannot access essential information, we will treat that as a content issue to correct before publishing further material. Report accessibility issues to info@nurturecrest.com.
